Rachelle and Tyler met in October 2022 when Rachelle joined the Berrien Springs Oronoko Fire Department. Tyler had been on the department for several years and Tyler’s enthusiasm stood out immediately. Tyler was a patient teacher and constant supporter, and he helped Rachelle find her footing from the very beginning.

The two quickly became friends, and Rachelle soon developed a crush on Tyler. When Tyler needed to take an EMT class for his fire science degree, Rachelle signed up as well. Spending that time learning and growing together brought them even closer.

Since then, life side by side has been their greatest adventure, and they’re so excited to begin the next chapter surrounded by their favorite people.
